Wick Academy chip in to help local community

This week the players, management and committee of Wick Academy dug deep into their pockets and have managed to raise £1,000, which will now be donated to Chris Aitken.

Chris, who is an avid supporter of the club, is admirably producing protective face masks and guards using a 3D printer. The masks and guards Chris produces are being distributed to local nursing homes and hospitals where they are urgently required during this terrible Coronavirus pandemic.

We decided to donate the money raised to Chris as he continually requires funds for materials to continue producing this essential PPE.

The players, management and committee are appreciative of the support we are given during the football season and are delighted to be able to do something to help the local community in times of need.

The club would like to take this opportunity to thank the players for agreeing to forgo their wages during this uncertain period, also to urge everyone to stay safe and stay at home for as long as required. #stayhomesavelives
