Just kicked off at Allan Park. Alan Bokas takes the place beteeen the sticks today and Alan Farquhar makes the starting line-up. 

Wick have started very well and have been in behind Cove several time in the first 10 minutes. A long ball is played out of defence by Stewart Ross and David Allan took it into the box and got a shot on target that was blocked. The ball came back to him and he tried to square it to Sam Mackay but he didn't hit it hard enough and the Cove defence cleared the danger. David Allan is looking very looking very sharp up front.

Cove take the lead with their first real attack of the game. Stewart Ross took Barry Stephen down in the box and gives away a penalty. Webster converted the spot-kick slotting past Bokas.

Cove double their lead in the 24^th minute in a bit of a wonder goal. Academy gave the ball away in midfield and Roddy Black fired in a shot that flew into the back of the net.

Academy have had few good chances the best of which was a Macadie header that flashed just wide of the Cove left hand post.

Half time 2 - 0

Academy have been the better team and have had several chances to get back into the game, however Cove bring on Danny Milne and he makes an immediate impact scoring with almost his first touch. Cove win a throw-in which is worked to the edge of the box and Milne picks his spot with a flashing header for a good finish.

Academy go straight up the field from the kick-off. They send a long ball over the top of the Cove defence to David Allan who squared to Craig Shearer and he lashed it in from 8 yards.

Academy hit back again with Stevie Cunningham pulling another goal back to set up an exciting last 10 minutes. Stewart Ross pumped the ball long to David Allan. He had a shot that bounced back out off keeper McKenzie and Stevie Cunningham was on hand to smack it into the roof of the net.

In the dying minutes Academy are denied a penalty. Substitute Ross Allan played a one-two with Sam Mackay sending him into the box and he was taken down but referee Sim waved away Academy's cries for a spot kick.

IN the last kick of the game Weir slid a neat pass to Cunningham and the Academy support thought that Cunningham had scored but his shot shaved the paint off the outside of the post with the keeper beat. 

So a brave come back from the Scorries but it's Cove that take all 3 points.
