Comm Bar - New Academy Main Sponsor

Academy Secure New Main Sponsor - Comm Bar Thurso

Wick Academy Football Club is delighted to announce a new sponsorship deal with Scotty Youngson of PHDBarga Ltd. Scotty owns the Comm Bar in Thurso which will be used by the Club as the main sponsorship logo until the end of season 2014-15. As well as the Comm Bar in Thurso Scotty also owns the Central Bar and Hotel, Top Joe's and Caffe Cardosi.

The "Comm Bar Thurso" will replace previous sponsor Numax Energy Services who terminated their sponsorship at the end of last season.

In addition to the "Comm Bar Thurso" appearing on the front of a new home and away first team shirt, the deal will also see the Comm Bar branding take pride of place at Harmsworth Park, as well as on the Club's official website and match programme. New strips have been ordered and they should be available for sale about the second week of December.

Scotty said "We are absolutely delighted to be given the opportunity to support Wick Academy Football Club as the main Club sponsor for the next two and a half years.  I was approached by the Club regarding this a few weeks ago and I was immediately interested in the proposal. I see it as a fantastic opportunity to increase the exposure of my business both locally and across the Highlands, as well as it being a great way in which I can give something back into the local community, which I am always keen to support.
There is a family connection, through my mum, between the Cardosi and Cabrelli families through in Wick, so it's great to be involved with something on the Wick side of the County. I also sponsor the Caithness Rugby team, so I am honoured to now be the main sponsor of two senior clubs who are both doing tremendously well in representing our County in their respective sports.
Academy has been great to work with in sorting things out. I attended their last home game against Keith which I thoroughly enjoyed and I now look forward to sharing Academy's on-field success and will be a regular visitor to Harmsworth Park."

Wick Academy Chairman, Colin Stewart said "We are delighted to have Scotty on-board as our main sponsor. Having a main sponsor who operates their business from Thurso really shows that the whole of Caithness are now four-square behind Wick Academy. We hope that the deal can be of mutual benefit to both parties and we look forward to seeing Scotty along with his guests at the Harmsworth Park.
We would also like to thank Numax Energy Services for their sponsorship for season 2011-12".
