Sunday 29th April:
No game for Academy yesterday, but we slip down to 12th place in the league after Forres beat Huntly yesterday 3-1. Academy can regain 11th spot next Saturday by taking at least a point from Fraserburgh.
Thursday 26th April:
Good news for Academy this week as the following players sign two year deals with the club; Shane Sutherland, Gary Weir, Martin Gunn, Shaun Sinclair, David Cowie.
Sunday 22nd April:
D Manson wins the £1,000 in the Academy Premier club draw. Full details of the drawn can be found here.
Thursday 19th April:
Academy have Brora in the local derby this weekend, in what should be a cracker. Craig Shearer and captain Martin Gunn will not be available for selection, but Titchie and Zeeky have a full squad at their disposal otherwise.
Thursday 12th April:
Academy are delighted to report that Shane Sutherland has been invited to attend a youth team training session today with Aberdeen F.C. This is a great opportunity for Shane and the Club are delighted that his obvious talent and ability has been recognised at this high level. Shane has risen from the Academy under 19 set-up, and has just broken into the senior team this season. His attitude to training and contribution to the senior team has been first-class and everyone at Wick Academy wishes him the very best with his trial.
Tuesday 10th April:
Yet again an Academy player has made the HFL team of the week. This time around it's our 16 year old striker Shane Sutherland, who scored his 6th league goal against Lossiemouth on Saturday.
Friday 6th April:
Stuart Sinclair is expected to miss-out on this weekends trip to Lossiemouth due to a foot injury. It is expected however that Craig Shearer will be back in the starting line-up, following his run-out against Rothes last weekend.
Wednesday 4th April:
Gary Manson has been selected as the HL player of the week following his 3 goals against Rothes last Saturday. Stewart Ross also made the team of the week.
Monday 2nd April:
Saturdays 6 - 1 win against Rothes is the clubs 3rd best result. Previous best results are; 7 - 0 v Lossiemouth on the 14th April 2001. 7 - 1 v Fort William on the 5th November 2005.
