Academy made the perfect start opening the scoring in the 6th minute. Gary Weir played the ball up the wing to Stevie Cunningham and he cut the ball into the box and Davie Allan got the touch to guild the ball into the net for his 5th league goal in 6 appearances.

0 - 1

Just before the half-hour mark Huntly level the scores when referee Potten awarded a soft penalty as Cunningham challenged for the ball in the box. Craig Shearer was booked for his protests.  Former Banks O' Dee and Keith front-man Michael Fyfe took the spot kick. He looked to stall his run-up and sent Bokas the wrong way before slotting into the opposite corner, much to the anger of Wick manager Davie Kirkwood.

2 minutes later and Wick nearly got back in front when Weir forced a great save from Hastie.

Half Time 1 - 1

Academy started the second half brightly and Davie Allan forced a great save from Hastie after a 1-2 with Macadie

Huntly were created chances of their own but Bokas and the defence seemed to be coping with everything that was thrown at them.

In the 84th minute Academy went down to 10 men when Shearer picked up his second yellow of the game.

Huntly scored the winner deep into injury time. Academy conceded a soft free-kick and the ball was played short to Davidson who crossed into substitute Booth who took the ball down before side stepping a challenge and firing home to pinch the points.
