A day of rain at Princess Royal Park.

Deveronvale open the scoring with 7 minutes on the clock. A cross from the left side tapped in from 2 yards by Mark Cowie.

Academy equalise in the 13th minute. A corner kick is scrambled clear to the edge of the box by the Deveronvale defence, but Stewart Ross is on hand to fire home with a cleanly struck shot.

The Scorries don't hold the lead long, Gary Clark scoring in the 15th minute with a back-post header from a cross from the right hand wing

The Vale increase their lead just on the half-hour mark, with Keith Robertson getting amongst the goals. This time a cross from the left from Steve Dolan and Robertson took it on the half-volley from 3 yards out.

James More keeps Academy in the game saving a penalty kick from Paul Urquhart. The PK came from a hand-ball by Andrew Macleod. Urquhart shoots low to James's left, and he gets down to make a good one handed stop.

Bryan McKiddie has come off injured, replaced by Stuart Sinclair.

With just under 15 minutes of the game left Mark Chisholm puts the game beyond doubt, scoring from a corner kick.

Gary Manson has a great effort from the edge of the box sending in a low driven shot that flashes accross the face of Blanchard's goal.

7 minutes to go and Vale go nap, Chisholm getting his second goal of the game. The ball is floated into the box by Dolan and Chisholm heads it just beyond More. It bounces off the post and trickles into the net.
