Match Report

A cold day in Forres but the pitch is clear and the game goes ahead. Alex Lamb and Stewart Ross are unavailable for today's game, and More makes his first starts in goal as MacMillan has an injured ankle.

Academy have a great chance with 5 minutes played. The ball is laid to Gunn on the 18 yard line and his shot is heading goal-wards with the keeper rooted to the spot, but it takes a deflection and goes wide.

Forres take the lead in the 8th minute. Manson clears a dangerous ball for a corner, and looked to be fouled in the process but the referee waves away Manson's protests. The corner is swung into the back post and Sharp rises unchallenged to head back across goal and into the top corner.

Forres double their lead in the 18th minute. A goal from another corner, this time Hendry getting a glancing header to the ball and it flew into the net.

7 minutes later and Forres increase their lead even further. More punches a crossed ball clear of goal. It fell at the edge of the box, and Scott Moore capitalised on indecision in the Academy defence to take a first time strike at the ball and he scores from 14 yards out.

It looks like game over as Simon Allan scores from the penalty spot and puts Forres 4 up at half-time.

Academy are playing better in the second half. The ball is played into Weir who turned his defender and shot from 14 yards out. The ball beat keeper Knight and went in via the inside of his left hand post.
