The boys left Wick at 4:00pm for the first of their mid-week catch-up games. The teams shared the points in a 0-0 draw 2 weeks ago, so both sides I am sure will be keen to take all 3 from this one.
The game has just kicked off. Both teams have a change of keeper since the last time they met in Wick. Callum Donaldson is in for Ally Ridgers for the home side, and Alan Bokas returns in place of James More. Andrew MacLeod is away on holiday so Alan Farquhar once again slots in across the back line.
10 mins played and Academy have made the better start. Cunningham played a great through ball to David Allan with only 5 minutes played but Allan was flagged off-side in a tight decision.
Academy have also had a shout for a penalty kick when David Allan screamed into the Nairn box. He was crossed by his defender and claimed a foul but referee Frew wasn't interested.
15 played and the Nairn keeper Donaldson makes a great save to deny the Scorries from opening the scoring. Macadie lashed the ball off his lacers from 20 yards out and it was heading for the top left hand corner but Donaldson went air-born and managed to tip it over the bar for a corner kick.
Academy open the scoring. Sam Mackay managed to break through the Nairn defence into the box. The ball went loose and Cunningham, who was running along-side Mackay, lashed it into the net.
0 - 1
Academy score their second goal in as many minutes. Gary Manson floated a 25 yard free kick to the back post where Craig Shearer nodded home.

Half Time 0 - 2
Les Fridge makes a change for the start of the second half. Nairn vice-captain Brian Macleod comes on for Martin MacDonald.
Nairn pick up a few bookings. Andrew Colletto and substitute Macleod, for taking Cunningham out of play.
in the 54th minute Academy score their 3rd of the game. Macadie slid the ball into the feet of David Allan. His shot was blocked by keeper Donaldson, but Allan snapped up the re-bound and slotted home his 9th league goal for this season..
0 - 3
The Nairn keeper also goes into the book for dissent following the goal.
Academy have another really strong claim for a penalty kick after David Allan appeared to have his heels clipped from under him. Referee Frew again waves play on.
Both sides make substitutions in the 67th minute. Barron comes on for Coletto, and Weir replaces David Allan.
74 minutes played and Academy make another change with Stewart Ross coming on for Bryan Mckiddie.
Nairn have had a bit more possession this half but thus far can't find the cutting edge required to get on the score-sheet.
Nairn pick up another booking as Wayne Mackintosh goes onto the book for taking down Sam Mackay. He escaped a similar fate 5 minutes earlier after charging into Alan Bokas when he had the ball in his arms, so is probably lucky to still be on the field.
With 6 minutes left Academy make their final change, Ross Allan coming on for Sam Mackay.
Academy wrap things up in the final minute. Macadie whipped in a cross from the right flank and Craig Shearer headed home his second of the game from 2 yards out.

Alan Hendry was at the game and sent in this match summary and manager thoughts:
Academy were back to their scintillating best as they swept aside Nairn County at Station Park on Wednesday night.
The Scorries gave the home side the runaround in a comprehensive 4-0 victory, Craig Shearer netting twice from headers with Stevie Cunningham and David Allan also on the scoresheet.
It was a confident, classy display from start to finish with the added bonus of Alan Bokas's first clean sheet in a league game since joining Academy.
Co-manager Ian Munro hailed it as "a fantastic performance".
He said: "It really was a 4-0 hammering. In the first half Nairn were chasing shadows - we went in 2-0 up and it should have been more.
"We scored another couple of good goals in the second half and we're absolutely delighted with the whole team's performance."
Nairn boss Les Fridge said: "We gave ourselves a mountain to climb.
Wick were very good, especially in the first half.
"Up until tonight we've had three games in three months and we looked like a team that hasn't played.
