Craig Shearer picked up a knock in Wednesday night's game against Brora Rangers, so does not feature in today's game away to Rothes. Bryan McKiddie is also unavailable due to work commitments. Gary Weir gets the nod today in front of Lukasz Geruzel.
Rothes have Alan Fuller, Rhys Fyfe and Ruarie Watt missing from their line-up.
Academy were beaten 2-1 in this fixture last season so will be looking to reverse that result today.
Just kicked off on a bright sunny day at Mackessack Park.
15 minutes played and Academy have dominated the opening exchanges without managing to create a clear goal scoring chance. The nearest we have come was from Sam Mackay who tried to lob keeper Greg Sim, but the ball landed on the roof of the net.
Academy continue to dominate but just can't get an opening goal.
Gary Weir had a good chance from the edge of the box but blasted his shot high over the top.
Academy's best chance thus far came from Davie Allan with 7 minutes of the half remaining. He managed to get himself free at the edge of the box with just the keeper Sim to beat. Allan tried to chip him but smoked it over the cross-bar.
On the stroke of half-time the Academy possession paid off. Davie Allan cut into the Rothes box on the right and his cross took a ricochet off a Rothes player. It fell to Richard Macadie who's shot was blocked, but Gary Weir snapped up the scraps, turned and powered his shot home under the body of keeper Sim. This was a landmark goal for Weir as it notched up his 100th competitive strike for the Scorries.

Half Time - Rothes 0 - Wick Academy 1
9 minutes into the second half and Scott Robison picks up a booking for a late tackle on Davie Allan.
Rothes make their first substitution just before the hour mark, Scott Dunn coming on for Greg Simpson.
Academy passed up a great chance to double their lead. Davie Allan marched into the box with ball at feet but his shot cannoned off the post. It came back out to Macadie who squared it back to Allan but the normally dependable hit-man had a fresh-air shot with only the keeper in his way.
Academy increased their advantage in the 69th minute. James Pickles played a great ball through the heart of the Rothes back-line. Richard Macadie beat the off-side trap, went one-on-one with keeper Sim and slotted home with an ice-cool finish.
0 - 2
A minute later and Academy go 3 up. Weir had a crack that was blocked, but he set the ball up for Sam Mackay and he hammered home from 17 yards out.
0 - 3
It's just not Davie Allan's day as he again goes one-on-one with keeper Sim but slides his shot past the outside of the post.
It's all clicking now for the Scorries as Weir grabs his second goal of the game. Stevie Cunningham and Sam Mackay had a really neat exchange of one-touch passes before Cunningham set Weir up 6 yards from goal and he made no mistake as he slotted home.

Full Time - Rothes 0 - Wick Academy 4
The win today puts Academy up to 4th place in the table, a point behind leaders Nairn County. The 3 goals today also makes Academy the highest scores in the league with an average goals scored of 3 goals a game, making our total 18 for the 6 games played.
We now have Fraserburgh at home next weekend so that should be a cracker!
