Academy made the Wednesday night trip to Station Park to face Nairn County. Six goals, a red card and more bookings than could be counted on one hand wasn't bad entertainment for the spectators that attended, and the end result was a share of the points.
For the second game on the spin Academy took the lead more or less straight from the kick-off. Academy drove forward down the right flank through Davie Allan who cut the ball across into the box for Sam Mackay to tap home from six yards out.
0 - 1
17 minutes later the Scorries doubled their advantage. Steven Anderson got his head to a Richard Macadie cross and he powered home with a down-ward bullet header.
0 - 2
It wasn't long before Nairn pulled a goal back. An Allan Pollock shot from 22 yards out took a massive deflection which wrong-footed Sean McCarthy and flew into the net.

The second half started badly for Academy when after 11 minutes referee Mark Stewart adjudged Michael Steven to have denied a goal scoring opportunity when it looked as it Steven had won the ball fairly from Sam Urquhart. He pointed to the spot and flashed Steven a straight red card and Academy were down to 10 men. Conor Gethins stepped up and converted the spot-kick.
2 - 2
Despite Academy being a man short they went on to regain the lead. Academy won a free-kick on the left which was swung in by Sam Mackay to be turned in by Davie Allan from six yards out.
2 - 3
