Timeline

  • Academy jumped three places to fifth in the Highland League after prevailing with a good deal to spare in the latest of their run of midweek outings.

  • Last Appearance - Rothes 0 - 9 Wick Academy

Academy went on a goal-spree today hammering Rothes 9-0. The score equals our highest league result, last achieved against Strathspey Thistle at Seafield Park in August 2013. Sam Mackay knocked in 4 of today's goals, 3 of them from the penalty spot. That's 6 penalties in the last 2 games that Academy have been awarded, and Sam Mackay has scored from 5 of them. Marc MacGregor also grabbed a double today with the other goals coming from Gary Weir, Steven Anderson and an own-goal (goalkeeper Sean McIntosh).
